Ogunquit Insider for May 1, 2025
Welcome to the Ogunquit Insider - your weekly look at what’s happening around town. As the season gets underway, we’re tracking everything from early spring openings and upcoming events to notable construction projects and local updates you might spot on your walk. Whether you’re visiting soon or live nearby, here’s what’s worth knowing this week.
Look Who's Back
As May arrives, a few favorite Ogunquit spots have reopened for the season this week, signaling the start of another vibrant coastal summer.

Splash
, with its beachfront views, has reopened and is ready to serve up tasty breakfast and lunch with a side of beach vibes.

The Maine Catch
is back, offering fresh New England seafood in its relaxed, rustic setting.

Patio 03907
is welcoming guests to its outdoor space, complete with a rooftop deck and great water views. Don’t forget to check out their seafood and burgers.

The Dunes on the Waterfront
has also reopened, featuring a new café available for guests, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.
Improvements Around Town
As you stroll through town, you’ll likely notice a number of construction projects underway - part of Ogunquit’s ongoing efforts to keep things in great shape for the season ahead.

The pier at
Perkins Cove
is currently undergoing repairs that are expected to continue through May. Due to the presence of construction equipment, several parking spots and part of the pier are temporarily inaccessible. Once complete, the upgraded deck will be level with the boardwalk, greatly improving accessibility for everyone.

Over on the Marginal Way crews are making important repairs to sea walls and the staircase leading down to Little Beach. While the path remains open throughout the project, you may encounter brief closures as equipment is moved along the trail.

And if you haven’t walked past Town Hall lately, it’s worth a look! The new municipal building next to the
Dunaway Community Center
is taking shape quickly. The structure is up, complete with a roof and windows. Once finished, it will house both Town Hall and the Ogunquit Police Department, bringing key services together under one roof.
