Business owners and construction crews were once again busy during the off-season here in Ogunquit. From new sweet spots to some familiar favorites in fresh spaces, here's a look at what's new around town for 2026.
Cheesecake Has Come to Town
Maine's beloved Bar Harbor Cheesecake Company has made its way down the coast and opened a new location at 166 Main Street (Unit 101). Known for their rich, creamy cheesecakes in an ever-rotating lineup of flavors, the company has built a loyal following across the state. Whether you're looking for a classic New York-style slice or something a little more adventurous, it's a welcome addition to Ogunquit's dessert scene.
Bobbles & Lace, New Location
Bobbles & Lace has a new home this season, now located at 20 Shore Rd, Unit 1A. The popular Ogunquit boutique has moved to Shore Road, so keep that in mind if you were planning to find them at their old spot.
Five-O Moves to Shore Road
After a season away, Five-O is back and in a bigger, better space. The beloved restaurant and bar has taken over the former Northern Union location at 261 Shore Road, bringing its fresh seafood, handmade pastas, and expertly crafted cocktails to one of the most sought-after spots on Shore Road. The new digs give the team more room to work with, and the vibe is every bit as welcoming as ever.
Bread & Roses Joins Forces with Big Daddy's
Two local favorites are now under one roof. Bread & Roses Bakery has teamed up with Big Daddy's Ice Cream at 478 Main Street, combining fresh-baked pastries and breads with Big Daddy's housemade ice cream. It's a natural pairing, and the kind of place where deciding between a morning pastry and an afternoon scoop might become your biggest problem of the day.
Chophouse Grille @ 50 Shore Road
The space at 50 Shore Road that Five-O called home for over two decades has a new tenant this season. Chophouse Grille @ 50 Shore Road is opening as a Burger, Steak & Shake concept, bringing a casual but focused menu to one of the better-known addresses on Shore Road. Details are still emerging as the place gets up and running, so check their social media for hours and opening updates.
The Front Porch Gets a Refresh
The Front Porch Piano Bar & Restaurant, celebrating over 40 years as one of Ogunquit's most beloved gathering spots, officially reopened this spring after a significant renovation. The update added a brand new tiki bar along with outdoor seating for 60 more guests, giving the landmark a whole new dimension alongside its classic piano bar and dining room. The menu has been refreshed as well, and the venue is already booking private events for the season. Whether you're there for dinner, drinks, or a sing-along, the Front Porch remains everyone's happy place.
